Loving-kindness is born out of the whole world breaking your heart the very instant compassion is truly embodied.
When we feel the pain of others, suffering can no longer be somebody else's business.
Care follows compassion around every dark corner.
A wholehearted, unreserved engagement with all of life becomes unavoidable when compassion takes hold of the tender heart.
It is impossible for the compassionate heart not to be touched by the fullness and depth of the human experience.
The challenge of a lifetime is to bear the burden of compassion; to carry it and not be weighed down; to burn with it without being reduced to ashes.
Compassion is mother to love.
