Unlocked

When we conceal how we feel, we sink into oblivion. Our liveliness evaporates into a cloud of apathy. Slowly, we forget who we are and sleep walk or small talk our way through life. Suddenly something ceases. We become indifferent. Unmoved. Untouched. Humans made zombies. Mediocrity on repeat. And for what? All so it's kept quiet, swept secretly under the carpet to save face. So we don't get seen and never actually need to dig too deep, speak too loudly or love too fiercely. God forbid we get caught unprepared, unmasked, exposed in our raw and feral intensity. Tell me, can we stop cringing at the ugly truth spilling out? Cause that's the quiet, collective murder of individual souls. A safe way to die living. Better to risk unlocking our spirit and tear down those walls. Unleash our imperfect potential. At least we never become ugly trying to look pretty.
