I am the light that darkness cannot overcome
At once the mother holding her child and the woman
longing for the baby she cannot carry
I am where the visible and the invisible merge
the blindfold is lifted, the heart is stretched
I am where you end and I begin
In the breath that washes away all lies
I am where no mask can be kept
for God calls me by my many names and yet still knows me as one
I am where joy and pain stand in hand like water and ice
as this choice to expand is both tender and ruthless
I am where all is transformed, beyond this valley of death
breathing from this territory unknown onto the wings of life itself
For now, whatever I may or may not have become,
finally certain to be resting in this grace, I say in truth:
I am enough.
